Make this delicious shrimp alfredo with simple ingredients for dinner any night of the week!
Cook the pasta according to the directions on the box. You will cook your shrimp in a pan while the pasta cooks.
Toss the shrimp in a bowl with the cajun seasoning, onion powder, and garlic powder. I buy a bag of frozen shrimp and thaw them before cooking. Whatever shrimp you buy, you want to make sure they are raw, deveined, peeled, and have the tail off.
Heat a pan over medium to high heat. Add the olive oil before adding the shrimp to the pan. Cook until they are pink and curl up, but be careful not to overcook.
Once the shrimp is cooked, remove and set aside in a bowl.
Next, add the butter to the same pan. You don't need to clean it because everything will be added back together at the end.
Once the butter melts, add the chicken broth and whipping cream to the pan and bring to a simmer.
Slowly add in the parmesan cheese while whisking the sauce.
Allow the sauce to simmer and thicken for a few minutes. Then add in the cooked pasta and shrimp and toss well to coat.
Enjoy!
