It’s 7am and you’re pouring your first cup of coffee for the day. What will you add to it? Early in the year of 2020, I decided to be more intentional about my health and what I was putting into my body, which included how much sugar. I cut coffee creamer cold turkey and drank my coffee black for a few months. I had heard of nutpods before but never tried them. I decided to try a variety pack and was hooked!
Since then, I have become a brand ambassador so I have tried every flavor. I’m not personally dairy free or vegan, but try to eliminate animal products when I can, as long as the item is still healthy. I love that nutpods have 0 sugar and low calories. A lot of dairy free creamers in the store that are marketed as being healthy still have a bunch of sugar. Nutpods are also shelf stable, which means you can order your favorite flavors online and/or in bulk, and keep them in your cabinet until you’re ready to use them.
A couple more things I love about nutpods are that they are a small, woman founded and family owned business, and committed to the environment. They are the first company in North America to use “plant pack,” which contains 95% plant-based renewable materials. You can recycle the cartons when they’re empty, too! You can also purchase nutpods on Amazon and possibly your local grocery store. Select Walmart and Target stores have a couple flavors, as well. The nutpods website is almost just as fast as Amazon, however. They ship right away and I always get the package within about 3 days!
Frothing
Before we get to the flavors, I want to make sure you know how to get the very BEST flavor experience out of your creamer. Around the time I started drinking nutpods, I learned about the magic of a frother. Nutpods are unsweetened, which may take a little while for you to get used to. Once you do, however, it’ll be hard to ever go back to sweetened coffee. If you can get your hands on a frother, the flavor will be 10x better. I use a handheld frother I bought on Amazon that is rechargeable. You can find it here.
The key is to heat your creamer in the microwave for 10-15 seconds before frothing. Dairy free creamers don’t froth like milk when they’re cold, but if you get it close to room temperature or a little bit warm, it will froth SO well. That’s another thing I love about nutpods!
Of course, if you still like your coffee sweet, they taste great mixed with liquid sweeteners! If you’re looking for sugar free, Stevia drops are a great option.
Not just coffee!
I obviously put nutpods in my coffee, but they’re also great in tea! I’ll mention the ones I enjoy in tea in the flavor section below. Another idea for drinking is in sparkling water. I know it sounds odd, but you have to try it! It makes a nice, creamy soda for a summer day. Yum!
Some people even bake with nutpods. I never have, but nutpods has recipes on their website and social media!
Flavors

Coffee Cake – One of their new limited edition flavors. The taste is subtle and delicious!
Spiced Chai – I love to put this one in a chai latte. Just mix milk with chai concentrate and top with the creamer – yum!
Caramel – My FAVORITE. It has such a nice caramel flavor and froths well. This is a flavor I can usually find in a big container at my grocery store, too.
Toasted Marshmallow – My second love. This flavor is so good and froths the best in my opinion. I’m so glad this became a permanent flavor recently! This creamer is so good in coconut coffee. It’s also good if you mix it with chocolate creamer or some coco powder!
Cinnamon Swirl – I feel like cinnamon is an easy flavor for unsweetened creamer to get right. It tastes and smells great! This flavor doesn’t froth as well so you really want to make sure you heat it for at least 15 seconds.
Coconut Macaroon – If you love coconut, this is a great flavor! I also like to add it to Key Lime La Croix!
Classic Chocolate – So good! It’s like an unsweetened Wendy’s chocolate frosty. It smells great too and froths well. I have added this to dessert tea before and it was really yummy.
Cotton Candy – This flavor threw me off when it first came out, but it’s actually really good! I enjoy it in coffee, herbal tea, and Limoncello La Croix!
French Vanilla – Not my favorite flavor. Probably from drinking so much French Vanilla Coffee Mate over the years LOL. But it’s true to the flavor!
Hazelnut – I don’t personally like hazelnut flavor things so I don’t use this flavor but I have tried it and it seems authentic.
Original – I’ve tried it. It’s not bad but I’ve never reordered it. This could be good if you enjoy adding your own flavor syrup!
Oat Original – This is so good in tea and froths well! My favorite tea to add it to is Harney & Sons Hot Cinnamon Sunset.
Oat French Vanilla – Same thing as the other but with an oat flavor.

Cookie Butter – I personally LOVE the cookie butter flavor the most!
Sweet Creme – Love it! The flavor is so good.
French Vanilla – I’m not a huge french vanilla fan but the sweetened version is better than the unsweetened.
Caramel – It’s good but I actually like the unsweetened caramel better. I think it has a more authentic caramel flavor.
Nutpods also has AMAZING seasonal flavors! I live for their Pumpkin Spice and the Peppermint Mocha is incredible, too! I am personally not a fan of the Holiday Nog.
