Guess what? I FINALLY design a knitted dishcloth pattern! I will admit I still prefer crocheting with cotton yarn, but I am so obsessed with how this turned out and I think it will be so cute in so many kitchens! If you’ve never knit a bobble before, don’t freak out! I’ve got you covered with a video I created! BUT, if you have knitted a bobble before, please make sure you take a look too. There are many ways to knit a bobble so it might be different than what you’re used to!
Make sure you also read through the abbreviations and notes before jumping in! Happy knitting!

Materials
To knit this dishcloth you will need the following items:
- Worsted weight (4) yarn – about 60 yards or less. I used Lily Sugar’n Cream Cotton yarn in the color Overcast.
- US 6 / 5.5 mm knitting needles (straight or circular)
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
Abbreviations
- k – knit
- p – purl
- sl – slip
- st(s) – stitch(es)
- wyib – with yarn in back
- wyif – with yarn in front
- * – repeat as directed
Notes
ALL slip stitches are purl wise.
This dishcloth is worked flat.
The odd rows are the wrong side, and even rows are the right side.
Pay careful attention to the beginning and end of each row so you have a lovely, i-cord edge. For example, each even row ends with a purl. If you accidentally knit the last stitch it will create an awkward bump on the edge.
Bobble Stitch
Make sure to check out the video if you need a visual! To knit the bobble stitch in this pattern, you will knit into the front of the stitch, knit into the back, and knit into the front again before slipping the stitch off your left needle. Then turn your work to the back and purl 3. Then turn your work to the front and knit 3. Then pass the second loop over the first and the third loop over the first to close the top of the bobble. Voila!
I-Cord Edge
You will probably begin to notice a pattern with the first and last 2 stitches of each row. I have written each row out in the pattern exactly how you will knit them, but for a short hand reference, the edge is worked as follows:
Odd rows (wrong side): Sl 1 wyib, p1; work in the written stitch pattern to last 2 sts; sl 1 wyif, p1.
Even rows (right side): Sl 1 wyib, k1; work in the written stitch pattern to last 2 sts; sl 1 wyib, p1.

I can’t see the purl ridge in the Boho knit dishcloth . Am I reading it wrong
It is a knit row on the wrong side.
